Hope or Rogers?

This is for the Inktober Day 10 Challenge entitled "Hope." I'm not going to wax political right now other than to say, we could use a little HOPE right now. I'd love to hear how this classic comedian would negotiate the troubled waters of our current polarized culture. I imagine he would take it on with a mixture of incredulity and dignity. The real comedian to be puzzled about would be Don Rickles. I think Rickles would be, in the parlance of our time, "off the chain."
